The Len Stoler Automotive Group selected Riparius Construction, Inc. as the Design Builder/ Construction Manager for the new Lexus dealership in Towson, Maryland. The project consisted of one 44,000 sq. ft. automobile dealership facility located on a 5 acre site with the related curbing, paving, and site lighting associated with automobile sales lots. The sitework also included the construction of two underground storm water management vaults. The Showroom building includes New Car and Pre-owned Car display areas that have a multi-level coffered ceiling system. The second floor of the Showroom facility contains an office, a training room, a lunchroom, and two restrooms for employee use. The integral service facility includes a 3,700 sq. ft., 3-lane service drive-through area where customers can meet a Service Technician and then proceed to the Customer Waiting area. The 20,500 sq. ft. Service Shop, which is painted in accordance with the Lexus color scheme of gray and white walls with black and gold horizontal striping, contains 35 mechanic bays, of which two required a pit for wheel alignment lifts. Each bay is serviced by an automobile fluid dispensing system, compressed air, and an underground exhaust fume extraction system. The shop area is supported by a parts warehouse with a prefabricated metal mezzanine for storage, a compressor room, an oil storage room, a vehicle washing area, and includes amenities such as a mechanics lunchroom, locker room, and shower room.
